Call it want you want, but there’s no arguing that Tobias Sammet produces some of the finest power metal in the industry. His grandiose ambitions have come in the form of Avantasia in recent years, but ‘Ghostlights‘ is probably his greatest achievement yet.

It may sound cliche to say that each album this is the epitome of the great works of Tobias Sammet, but ‘Ghostlights‘ really brings out the best in what he can offer. Unlike the the other over-the-top approach to other Avantasia albums, it’s straight heavy metal. There’s no fooling around on this one, every song is as brilliant as the last, and kicked off 2016 in style.
