Currently touring the world over, Delain have been performing far and wide. Returning to the UK for their coveted appearance at this years Bloodstock the band will be headlining the second, Sophie Lancaster Stage. Though returning later in the year we were able to catch up with Martijn Westerholt about all things Delain. Speaking of the bands plans for a new album, how their extensive touring schedule has gone and most importantly how Otto’s nether regions are doing…
How does it feel to be headlining the second stage?
Well for us it’s kind of special, when we had the offer from Bloodstock we actually requested playing there. It’s called of course the Sophie Lancaster Stage and we have this song about Sophie Lancaster, so it’s really fitting for us to lay there it’s kind of a full circle.
What song is it?
It’s song called “We Are The Others” it’s about everybody being different and that we should accept that but of course it also has to do with the her being murdered by dressing differently than most people do.
Terrific isn’t it.
It definitely is and of course it has been some time ago already,
People still remember it.
And the problem stays the same, it’s still very apparent for us it’s very fitting for us to play there. It’s an honour actually.
