In one of the most subtle departures of the year, it has been announced that the band’s guitarist left the band earlier this year, and tapped a new one…

It has been confirmed that Dani Evans, long time guitarist of the pirate metallers has set sail. No reasons have been given, but the band must respect it as a personal issue and ensure no drama surrounds it.

Alestorm made the announcement regarding the departure of Dani Evans and the introduction of Máté Bodor, guitarist of Hungarian metallers Wisdom, as the man for the job:

“The keen-eyed amongst you may have noticed from our recent festival appearances that guitarist Daniel Evans is no longer with Alestorm. We would like to thank Dani for his many years as a member of this band, and we wish him every success with all future ventures! Furthermore, we are delighted to introduce you to our new guitarist Mr. Máté Bodor, whom you can watch being a tremendous bighead in this little video. We cordially invite you all to come along to some festivals this summer and throw sausages at him. Cheers, Christopher, Gareth, Elliot and Peter.”
