Here’s a bit of an odd band name…a ‘syndrome’ named after the lead actor of the original Frankenstein? Well it’s a new project made by ex-Celtic Frost and current Coroner guitarist Oliver Amberg, and he needs your help!
The Boris Karloff Syndrome is looking for crowdfunding to help create their debut album, and Mr. Amberg personally asks for your help:
“2013 I started a new band called The Boris Karloff Syndrome. Since I wanted to offer the listeners a very special package I decided to have the best people around me to make it happen. I am happy and honoured to work with such talendet people together.
The EP Kopophobia will be available as digipack with the stunning artwork of Thomas Ott. Seven songs with guests like Gianni Pontillo, Tommy Vetterli, Leif Gregory, Luca Leombruni, MikroMatique and Heiko Freund will send you on a musical journey. A sinister mix of industrial, metal, pop and soundtrack music is waiting to be heard.
But – I need your support. Get the album as MP3-Download or digipack, get the big package with shirt and more stuff. Pay now – enjoy later. My project is waiting for you on Rockethub.com
Check out what we offer and be a part of Kopophobia. Your support is very much appreciated and I am looking forward to share the results with you end of 2014.”
Well we are kind of interested to hear what this record is going to sound like with a name like that, and we are very interested to hear just what the music will sound like with an erratic blend of all the metal sub-genres stated by Oliver. We’ve also been teased to the project in a video below:
