Whilst performing in Chile, Brian Werner, singer from Vital Remains was brought into the crowd and ended up breaking his ribs. During the third song in the band’s ten song set list the singer fell into the crowd and unfortunately, was dropped. Not quite as fantastically as Bowling For Soup’s guitarist in their classic video for “Punk Rock 101” but the fall injured the singer badly. Nevertheless, the show must go on. The singer ended up finishing the set list in agony, afterwards heading straight to hospital to confirm that he had in fact two fractured ribs and three contusions.

Makes you wonder that rock star diva’s like the Axl Rose’s of the world would cancel a gig because the singer wasn’t in the mood or whatever excuse he would muster up. Good on you Werner. Read the official statement below along with the video featuring the unfortunate incident.

 “Last show in Santiago last night and during the 3rd of 10 songs of the set the crowd dropped me and I hit the corner of a cement bench and broke two ribs. Then in absolute blinding pain and struggling to breathe I finished the set and went straight to the hospital, just to confirm two fractured ribs and 3 contusions. Man up.”
