Polish death metallers are soon going to be assaulting our senses once more with the arrival of their new album Blood Mantra. After having released the excellently titled “The Blasphemous Psalm To The Dummy God Creation” earlier and having everyone unanimously agree over it being fantastic, we’ve now got some small snippets of new material. Out of the first four tracks we have “Exiled In Flesh” the aforemention “Dummy God Creation“, “Veins” and the albums title track “Blood Mantra“. I always find that with preview tracks its hard to really appreciate the music, especially something as often atonal as Decapitated.

Thrust into a random piece of the song its hard to know what to expect and also what specific rhythms were being thrown at, but from what I can deduce here, its more of the building from the material that was exhibited on Carnival Is Forever but instead having a more vicious sound harking back to Organic Hallucinosis days this may be a compromise between the new age sound of Decapitated and embracing their older roots a bit more. Although I believe that as tragic as the events were, this is not the same band and that they shouldn’t be content with putting out the same sounding album each release.

Time will tell with this release, sure to be one of the biggest of the year Blood Mantra will be released on September 29th via Nuclear Blast Records.
