Antipope’s “Resolution” Sounds Like A Heavy Narco’s Theme

Imagine Narco’s where Finnish heavy metal underdogs were drug kingpins and Scandinavia was in an eternal narco-war…

While this is all complete nonsense, Finland’s heavy metallers Antipope are setting the scene for such a thought. Very much digging the Latin sound that’s incorporated into proggy epic named “Resolution”. I mean in this day and age anything could happen right?

Tracks like this have made me take interest in the band, and I am certainly intrigued to hear their upcoming album that the band has mentioned they are working on.

Listen to the track below:

The song ”Resolution” appears on ”Denial/Survival” album, released in 2017. Mikko, a vocalist-guitarist of Antipope, describes the song as being ‘the conclusion for the previous album. At the same time, it points unremittingly towards the next album, which heralds the beginning of the new era of Antipope.’

Allow me time to check out this back catalogue…and also write a script for a Scandinavian version of Narcos.
