The band’s twelfth studio album will be entitled…
The Serenity Of Suffering, currently performing festival slots the world over for this season, of which one was their brilliant performance at this year’s Download Festival. Korn have just announced their brand new album will be set for an October 23rd release via Roadrunner Records.
At the helm of producing is Nick Raskulinecz the man who is responsible for Mastodon, Foo Figthers and Deftones to name but a few, with artwork direction being taken from Ron English, who it has to be said has encapsulated the twisted carnival world of Korn perfectly with this new cover.
Not only that though the band have also released a brand new track “Rotting In Vain” and with it a Sons of Anarchy star Tommy Flanagan and of course sets the precedence for what this new album will be sounding like and from what we can tell we’re in safe hands.
Singer Jonathan Davis states :
“‘Rotting in Vain’ was written about being in that black place, being in situations that I don’t like in life, be it relationships or feeling when you’re stuck and you’re just being abused or you don’t like where you’re at, and you just sit there and rot. It takes you years and years to figure out how to claw your way out. That’s where ‘Rotting in Vain’ came from. That’s the vibe that inspired the song.”
