At long last Abbath will have a soundtrack to accompany his now worldwide walks fully decked out in corpse paint.

Announcing that the now solo artist will be performing one of his first ever shows at London’s Forum, Abbath has now released his first solo track. Entitled “Winter Bane” it has the classic gurgling Black Metal vocals that were home to Immortal for such a long time.

No doubt fans of Black Metal will indeed lap it up, personally it reminded me of Antarctica, Sons of Northern Darkness era Immortal. Perhaps mainly to do with the man’s characteristic voice. Either way give it a listen and see what you think for yourself!

Abbath’s debut album is set for a January 22nd release coincidentally the day of the man’s extravagant live show, via Season Of Mist.
