Also to make sure that you avoid those all important stage clashes that Download are so fantastically good at conjuring!
Aura Noir – Electric Ballroom (13:50 – 14:15)
The Norwegian thrashers will be making a special appearance at this years festival. Having released their last album, 2012’s Out To Die, it would seem as though this would mark the final touring cycle for the album. Perhaps after their performance at Incineration we might be seeing an appearance of a new album? Either way they will surely be bringing the noise to this brilliant line up and are a fantastic way to kick of the festival with their brand of blackened thrash angrily awakening those who may be hungover from the night before!
Prostitute Disfigurement – Underworld (15:30 – 16:00)
On a different section of the extreme metal spectrum we will be seeing an appearance of the death metal underground heroes Prostitute Disfigurement. Having released their album From Crotch To Crown just 2013 the Dutch seem to do it best. This is brutal death metal at its finest, married with technicality the band will definitely not be one to miss. After reuniting the band decided to carry on in the bloodsoaked face of adversity, definitely one to watch!
From The Bogs Of Aughiska – The Black Heart (15:40 – 16:10)
Despite the ridiculously hard to spell name, FTBOA are indeed one of the bands that will truly send chills through your soul. Opting for a more minimalist approach compare to our first two bands, the group meld dissonant noise with squelching screams that truly will transport those unsuspectful in The Black Heart to the darkest reaches of their soul.
Keep Of Kalessin – Electric Ballroom (15:45 – 16:20)
Releasing their brand new album Epistemology just two months ago the band have embarked on an exclusive European tour, with their appearance at Incineration being the only opportunity to see the band their brand of symphonic black metal will shake the rafters of the Electric Ballroom. Their unique combination of symphonic elements, melodic death metal and harsh black metal truly is a sight to behold live. Uproarious vocals that would transcend any mere mortal, adding to the fact that this is an exclusive appearance make sure you get your beers in beforehand!
Melechesh – Electric Ballroom (16:45 – 17:25)
Returning after five years this March with the release of their highly anticipated new album Enki, Melechesh are bringing their Mesopotamian metal to the masses. Again as another festival exclusive appearance this will be the only time to see Ashmedi and his cohorts destroy Camden along with London in the process. Sure to be a defining moment at the festival, not tot mention the fact that the band play so sporadically, it will be worth the ticket price alone!
Wretched Soul – The Black Heart (17:30 – 18:00)
The blackened thrashers will be appearing to dish out their brand of heavy metal. Best described as death metal with heavy metal tendencies, particular through the Halfordian vocals. Though this is often quickly dispelled as the Dissection style black metal elements creep in yet another fantastic band to blow the roof off The Black Heart.
Tribulation – Underworld (18:15 – 18:45)
With their brand new album Children Of The Night receiving rave reviews all over, Tribulation will definitely be one to look out for. Being part of the exclusive appearance package with Keep Of Kalessin, their brand of demonic black metal will surely be one of the evenings highlights. Having toured with Behemoth and Cannibal Corpse stateside, it will make for an even better more intimate setting seeing the swedes at London’s Incineration fest.
Shining – Electric Ballroom (17:50 – 18:30)
Yet another band that has rocked The Metalist’s foundations, with their new album IX – Everyone, Evrthing, Everywhere, Ends receiving a fantastic review their new release will definitely not be one to miss. With this appearance at the festival being a fantastic opportunity for fans to hear the band’s new material, that may be haunting on record yet surely will be moving in a live setting. Added with the fact that Shining are notorious for having some of the best performances in metal!
God Seed -Electric Ballroom (19:15 – 20:15)
Announcing that the band will indeed be returning this year to the follow up to 2012 debut I Begin, God Seed are sure to be one of the main events of Incineration fest. Bringing their brand of black metal to the Camden stage. With news that the bands new album will be released this June perhaps we might be seeing the appearance of some new material. Make sure to prick up those ears!
Necrophobic – Underworld (20:10 – 20:50)
Ensuring that things are ticking over at our other stages, Necrophobic shall be appearing before the nights headliners, releasing their 2012 record Womb Of Lilithu saw the band garner even more attention around their blackened death metal sounds. With punk tendencies thrown in among the atypical black metal chord structures and the haunting chanting that would summon even the most doleful of spirits. Apt that a sound so dark would be coming from The Underworld.
Alcest HEADLINER – Electric Ballroom (21:00 – 22:00)
Finishing off the day at the Electric Ballroom is France’s Alcest, though the band may have slowly begun to mellow out a la Opeth their classic material echoes the true spirit of black metal. The haunting passages of Ecailles De Lune will tail off the evening nicely leaving metal heads in their gloomy masses swaying to the sounds of the French duo. Having last performed as support on Opeth’s Pale Communion tour this may be one of the only appearances of the band at the festival!
Unleashed HEADLINER – Underworld (21:20 – 22:15)
Having released their brand new album Dawn Of The Nine just this week gone, Unleashed are firmly on top of the old school death metal pile. Showcasing their classic writing style tuned up for yet another stellar release, this will not only be a performance that will be in such an intimate setting but is also going to be the bands sole live performance in England this year. Playing material from the new album as well as documenting the annals of the old the 26 year old band are the perfect way to round of the festivals night at the Underworld.
Ingested HEADLINER – The Black Heart (21:30 – 22:15)
The Mancunian slam overlords will be flying the British flag proudly to close the proceedings in The Black Heart. Releasing their brand new album The Architect of Extinction this January the band have been on the up and up since their first release. Promising to be one of the most devastating listens for death metal fans, on top of finishing the night of the band are reknowned for their brilliant live appearances, an absolute must for any death metal fan.
And there you have it, though we may have mentioned only a handful of the acts that will be playing every band will be worth the watch, so if you’re in London and fancy shaking off those cobwebs from last week’s bank holiday come down and get incinerated.
London’s burning…
