With it being nine years now since the last tool record 10,000 Days their new album has become a slight running joke. Not quite the caliber of Necrophagist, there’s still hope of a new Tool album. Yet year after year it always seems that Tool‘s brand new album will be one of the most anticipated releases that simply doesn’t get released.
After battling for a while in a legal matter the boys it seems are now back in the studio! After Motörhead‘s drummer Mikkey Dee was wandering around their new studio as Motörhead begin to record their new album, it seems that just across from them sits Tool guitarist Adam Jones. When asked what they were up to the guitarist said they were “Working on some tunes!” Not exactly much to go on but it seems that Adam Jones at least is in the studio, although we’ve heard news like this before and it’s turned out to be a red herring, perhaps this will actually be the year that we get a brand new Tool album.
