Tolstoy was a fantastic writer who penned some of the best work in philosophy to date, whilst not only writing Anna Karenina he also wrote War and Peace. And while none of us here at The Metalist have fully read his books we thought we would give tribute to him with Germany’s best, Sodom. Their excellent album, In War And Pieces, released in 2010 the Germany thrash metallers show no sign of slowing up, with their signature sound having a more modern production overhaul its got some absolutely killer tracks. Of which, one is called “In War And Pieces” with Tom Angelripper‘s voice being as great as it has been in the past and the riffing having that crystal clear production as well as the killer solo’s coming from all angles from Bernd “Bernemann” Kost, its one heck of an album!
In honour of Leo Tolstoy, bang your head to some excellent German thrash, after all that beard alone makes him an ambassador for metal!
