After having found out that Emmure’s Frankie Palmieri’s vocal chord were on the brink of collapsing, sadly for the supporting bands Emmure’s tour had to be scrapped. However the diligent nature of our Australian friends Thy Art Is Murder, were steady in the face of adversity. Instead of calling it quits, they decided to take charge and have one final tour cycle for the Hate album, before their new album Holy War is released this summer.
Pulling this tour out of the bag is very short notice, The Australian Takeover Tour will feature support coming from all Aussie bands, Aversions Crown, Feed Her To The Sharks and Earth Rot. It’s a testament to Thy Art Is Murder’s sheer touring ability really. Constantly promoting their music the band are one of the hardest working there are. I find it particularly admirable that they would take this in their stride and have now become the headlining band of the tour. I would imagine that they might treat fans to a new song perhaps before the new album is released. I for one am very much excited to hear the new record!
