Since announcing that the band would be going on hiatus in 2011 Thrice weren’t sure if there would be a future for the band and now it seems that there is.

Revealing that the band would attend a handful of festivals this year, namely Hevy Fest in England the band performed their classic The Illusion of Safety album in full and from the sounds of it got the band thinking that perhaps there might actually be room for new material.

No doubt the band’s influence in the scene is still felt in the modern day so it shall be interesting to see what the band come up with later in their career. Particularly as the scene has changed so radically since their inception.
