We have just seen that there is such a thing as a metal chicken. Well, it’s called the Ayam Cemani Chicken, Ayam being the Indonesian word for Chicken and Cemani meaning completely black.  Originating from Indonesia and it is, like all metal band shirts, completely black.

Their metalness (or how they get to be black) is due to a genetic trait called fibromelanosis which makes everything but the blood of the animal black. We’re talking organs, bones, beaks, feet the lot. However if us metal heads did get hungry it’s a hefty price tag of $2,500 for the one chicken…

Still the most metal chicken I have ever seen though…
