Next year will see a big come back.
Announcing that the band will be headlining one of the dates at next years Download Festival we were thinking that System of A Down might be revealing some details regarding a new album.
Having previously released their double effort Hypnotize and Mezmerize the band have since been on hiatus reuniting to perform sporadic shows here and there but now in an interview with Kerrang! drummer John Dolmayan has revealed that the band have fifteen songs that are ready to go for a full album.
The drummer states :
“Our playing ability is better than it ever has been and we’re trying new things. We’re not trying to make ‘Toxicity’ Part II, just because it was by far our biggest album. This needs to be something for a new generation of SOAD fans, so everyone can see we’re not resting on our laurels.”
