After the surprising news that Slipknot guitarist had entered into an altercation with his brother, the world over was wishing the guitarist well. It emerged that both Mick and brother Andrew had been brawling in the house in Des Moines when the fight spilled out into the front where Mick Thomson was then stabbed in the head. After having been rushed to hospital both brothers have now been charged.
The two were involved in a brawl during the early hours of March 11th, when police were called they arrived at the scene and saw that Mick Thomson had indeed been injured. Both brothers are said to have been intoxicated in the police report. Thankfully neither brother sustained major injuries and both healed up and were charged with disorderly conduct. Expected to appear in court to answer for the charges, the brothers could be sentenced to 30 days jail time, or be fined. Though Slipknot‘s Summer Tour begins on the 25th it shouldn’t affect the bands schedule.
Stupid goes without saying, but Mick Thomson should count himself incredibly lucky. Personally if worst had come to the worst, I don’t think that both the band and its members would have been able to handle the aftermath. Next time boys, don’t knife each other in the head…
