Six Feet Under showed us their hand with the bouncing rumbles of “Open Coffin Orgy” earlier last month. Announcing that Chris Barnes will be working with members from Cannabis Corpse to create Six Feet Under‘s new album. We’re now please to give you another taster of the bands new material.
Personally I have to be honest, at first I thought the song was pretty boring. With not much happening, though on further listens, the driving riff really does get stuck in your head. Though there are no remnants of what the Six Feet Under band used to be, the music is still fantastic. Complete with a small atmospheric section midway through before entering solo territory once again, which hopefully will prove to be a constant on the new album. It would see, that this might be the best incarnation of Six Feet Under yet, with the talents of the boys from Cannabis Corpse aiding Barnes‘ twisted lyrical themes to come to life in the music. It’s no classic death metal in the making, but it’s a good solid death metal song that fans are sure to love.
