Our favourite Tasmanian metallers Psycroptic previously unveiled the storming track “Echoes To Come” along with lyric video for “The World Discarded“, the second single from their forthcoming self titled album. Now we are happy to announce that the band are giving us yet another taster of their unique metal sound.
The video itself, features landscape shots along with clips of the band performing in black and white. Filmed by Wilson Bambrick previously releasing videos for (Deafheaven, Title Fight and Black Breath) its well shot and nicely edited. The video itself would be nothing without the song however. Unveiling “Cold” the band are slowing it down slightly on the new record. Opening with an almost mexican style acoustic introduction gives some different texture and space instead of relentless legato barrage. Not before the band kick it fully into gear, it’s simply another example of one of the most interesting, truly different and underrated bands in death metal today.
You can watch the video below and if you’re lucky enough to be in Australia can catch them on their upcoming tour with Goatwhore, Disentomb and Ouroboros.
