Acting as a conduit music can be one of the most powerful tools into the study emotion that we as humans have created. Conveying sentiments varying on their intensity, in an instant a familiar sound, song or lyric can conjure up a memory from a past long forgotten. Used no doubt as a coping mechanism music can also be a vessel for creative output that has given us pained, honest and truly wounded visions into the human soul. Opening this door into the human psyche Touche Amore beckon us forward into the study of grief that is Stage Four.

Long before the conventional distractions that we deem essential, there used to be the time of the bards. Travelling around the bards would slowly but surely get their message out, be it a fictional tale, allegory or complete truth. Through the power of word of mouth their gospel was spread. Fast forward to the modern day, civil unrest, somewhat down trodden lives and injustice have given birth to a new revolution. Taking the ideals of our bards, the poets of the modern day aren’t the likes of Yates or Keats but people who experience the grit, the reality of a life that most would never experience. An Interview With : Jon Rice (Scorpion Child)

The idea of Rock ‘n’ Roll has been around long before my time. The classics we all know and love formed in the foundations of what was the beginnings of a movement that would continue on far into the future. As a result of its fierce staying power Rock ‘n’ Roll has had somewhat of a revival of late. One particular band flying the flag for the genre are the Texan madmen Scorpion Child. Releasing their brand new album Acid Roulette this year the band unveil the idea of the concept album revolving around prison and a favourite past time of the rockers of old, acid. Speaking to drumer Jon Rice we were able to get behind the story of the brand new album along with the bands appearance at Download Festival.
