And this time it will be worldwide!
For those of you unlucky enough to have missed out on the Northern Monk batch of Opeth’s XXV Anniversary Imperial Stout and I can say myself it was good, fear not as the band have announced today they will be releasing Communion Pale Ale.
Deciding once again to team up with the Leeds bound brewery Norther Monk. Changing this up the brew will be in cans rather than the prestigious looking bottle, no doubt making easier for transportation. The beer itself will be a composite of UK meets US tastes with pine, spice and punchy citrus along with classic US beer varieties.
For those who might be more local to the area the band are holding a release party of sorts on April 22nd where guitarist Fredrik Akesson will be performing a DJ set at their tap room. Offering their new beer as well as a limited edition t shirt six can package. Though Northern Monk might not be distributing the beer just yet it will soon be available the world over so our American counterparts will be able to enjoy a cold one and as its not in limited supply there will be loads!
However if you are in the UK then you can order the beer here now!
What a good way to start off Friday.
