Chicago djenters Veil of Maya announced that a new album was coming our way a fair while ago with the release of a new single, and then another new single, and then a May release date. No one however seemed to know exactly when in May.

That question has now been answered, with a release date of May 12th via Sumerian Records!

The new album ‘Matriarch‘ marks the first album recorded with new vocalist Lukas Magyar who has added a new dynamic to the band of clean signing as well as furious growling. While this has been unpopular with a few, guitarist Marc Okobo stated that with the release of their single ‘Mikasa‘, they have gained legions of new fans.

We are definitely looking forward to the release of the new album!
