Monuments Drummer Anup Sastry Throws In The Towel

In a somewhat surprising turn of events the Monuments drummer Anup Sastry has decided that enough is enough and he will be stepping down from the band.

Taking to Facebook the drummer announced that he will be stepping down as Monuments drummer. Having joined the band a year ago the man toured the world and from the sounds of it was very grateful for all that Monuments have done but simply isn’t going to continue with the band anymore. The statement read :

“As much as I’ve enjoyed sharing the stage with the band, I’ve unfortunately decided to leave Monuments. Touring with the band just wasn’t for me. I had an absolute blast playing with the group live, and I’m leaving the band on good terms. I was able to see a lot of beautiful places and meet a lot of wonderful people while in the band, and I’m very appreciative and grateful for those experiences.

“This decision is very amicable, and I will surely miss hanging out with everyone. Unfortunately, Monuments just wasn’t for me.

“I wish the absolute best for Olly, Adam, John, and Chris. Monuments will continue to get on stage and rip it, and I wish the band the best of luck with their future endeavors. I’ll be staying busy with a few projects, which Im excited to announce and share with everyone in the future.

“I want to thank everyone for all of the amazing and continued support. It really does mean a lot.”
