Blizzard, one of the biggest gaming companies in the world has managed to tap Metallica to perform at the company’s annual convention Blizzcon this year. A huge booking, but an idealistic partnership bringing together two titans from different creative universes.
The convention will take place on November 8th, and while it is likely that the band won’t be performing a full set, they should fit a good few classics in the setlist. Anyone not attending the sold-out convention in Anaheim can purchase a virtual ticket to watch the band play for the price of $39.99 as well as Direct TV customers in the USA can register for the pay-per-view event for the same price.
We feel the price is a bit extortionate, but if you really want to see Metallica perform on a gamers stage everyone has a chance to see it, and perhaps the band will have some Warcraft related surprises in their performance?
