The band’s guitarist has confirmed to HeavyMetalAbout that the legendary metal quartet are actually recording some of this mythical new material that has been floating about since the release of their last studio album ‘Death Magnetic‘ in 2008,

Whilst the prospect of a new Metallica studio album is exciting, there has still be no empirical evidence that this is happening, and could be just another Tool situation. Hammett seems like a decent bloke though, and we trust that a new Metallica record is in the works!
