The album that we thought would never be might finally be seeing light of day! 

I have lost count of the amount of times there has been a storm of “Metallica is in the studio!” Related posts over the last couple of years. Now the simple fact is that the band are definitely finished with their album. Having recorded the as yet untitled full length the next step will be mixing and mastering and finally leading up to the album’s release promotion. 

German newspaper Bild has released that the expected time for the new album will be October 14th, both the band and management have not confirmed this, which given the band’s recent revealing of their fashion venture and the fact the band will be performing at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. 

I would imagine that this could be the one that we have been waiting for and that finally the band might actually release a brand new album this year. Whether it will be good or not will be another question to answer.
