The legendary crossover metallers that are Biohazard have been proving time and time again that age means nothing when it comes to music. And the simple answer to the question as to whether it was worth the struggle for the fans to make it to the show tonight was absolutely. There would be no contention to that statement by anybody who attended the show.

As the band burst into ‘Wrong Side of the Tracks‘, the instant impact of the music is simply immense – the audience just goes wild. Scores of young and old fans fling themselves into the pit and everyone is moving to from front to back, and left to right. It took Biohazard 30-seconds to prove why they are one of the greats of the live music scene, and that is the evident appreciation the band have for their fans.

By the time ‘Urban Discipline‘ was ringing through the PA, fans were joining on stage to sing the lyrics with the 3 frontrunners of the stage, Billy Graziadei, Bobby Hambel and Scott Roberts all fiercely jumping and resonating the energy of the music.

What was amazing about this show is that how Biohazard have managed to keep this flame alive for over 25 years and continue to put on performances that outshow the young bands. Industry rookies can really learn a lot from things like this, just purely from studying the reciprocal love between the fans and the band with the music as the negotiator. Whether it was a headbanging classic like ‘Tales From The Hardside‘ or a thrashy newer track such as ‘Vengeance is Mine‘ the response was brilliant, with the band inviting their fans on stage to jump and sing with them. As aforementioned, you just don’t see this too often anymore!

By the time the classic ‘Hold My Own‘ had petered out, the crowd were drained. With the most energetic pit one could hope for, fans were wearing their bruises like battle scars including one girl holding an ice pack to her face signing the horns to all that checked if she was OK. It was a pleasure to see these old school metal performances, and let’s hope for many more of them. If you haven’t seen Biohazard yet, you mustĀ – only to simply understand what a show is, and why we pay money to see these bands.
