In an exclusive premiere John Petrucci has sat down with Billboard to premiere the world class “Moment of Betrayal“.

With the records release now a mere week away the anticipation is reaching fever pitch and Dream Theater do nothing t add fuel to the fire with their latest track. Speaking to Billboard Petrucci unearths that there may indeed be a reason that The Astonishing is two and a half hours in length, ideas in the pipeline for video games, films, musicals… It’s no wonder then that the band have opted to go for a grand approach when performing the new album in its entirety this February. 

The concept behind the record is also given more light, a world where music is no longer created by humans. Essentially robots create music and Gabriel who is a lowly villager from the nearby town of Ravenskill begins to overthrow the evil Empire. Set three hundred years in the future it’s going to be one of the most anticipated releases of the band’s career I would say!
