Swedish Metallers Katatonia have announced a brand new album that will be set for a May 20th release. 

Announcing today that the band’s long awaited tenth album will be released this year the band have a set a date of May 20th as a release, morbidly titled The Fall of Hearts the album was recorded in Stockholms Studio Gröndahl and Tri Lamb Studio whilst being produced Anders Nyström and Jonas Renske with mixing and mastering done by the biggest producer seemingly in the Metal world today, Jens Bogren! 

Artwork for the album was created by the mastery of the miserable Travis Smith once more it will also be the first to feature brand new drummer Daniel ’Mojjo’ Moilanen along with recent guitarist Roger Öjersson previously of Tiamat fame. Currently there has been no new release of tracks there is however a trailer for the forthcoming album that you can check out below.
