Kamelot and Dragonforce Caught In Baltimore Riots

After Herman Li, Dragonforce‘s incredibly acrobatic guitarist was seen performing underwater it seems that the sense of danger was once again met with their new tour. Booking the show for Monday 27th in Baltimore, the band were inadvertently caught up in the levels of unrest.

The Soundstage in Baltimore was set to have Kamelot and Dragonforce before declaring that the venue would have not been safe for the gig goers and unfortunately leading to the gig having to be cancelled. This didn’t mean that Baltimore didn’t get their share of power metal however, rescheduling the show to April 30th last night, the band decided to return to give the fans what they wanted!

Herman Li states : We thought it was a little weird that all the local shops were closed, in fact the only place open was the venue with a massive queue of fans still trying to get in. As we were warming up ready to go onstage we heard a State of Emergency was declared and the show immediately postponed due to the safety of the fans”

Thankfully the show was able to go ahead as planned simply at a later date! Yet another example that metal will always prevail!
