That’s right peasants. The regal overlords that are Judas Priest are thinking about a new album, and they will come together next month to discuss the idea…
In an interview with GuitarWorld, Richie Faulkner was asked about the potential of a follow-up to the excellent ‘Redeemer of Souls‘. Probably not expecting a whole lot, it turns out the Priest are already focused on some brand new music. When asked of the writing process:
“That’s the plan. We’re going to meet up next month and go and see what ideas we’ve got. I’m always coming up with riffs or melodies. We get together to pore over the ideas. Hopefully the ideas are great. We have a big legacy to uphold. These guys have been doing this for 40 years. Redeemer was the first Top 10 entry on Billboard that the band has ever had. It’s a great springboard, if you will. We’re looking forward to getting into the studio and seeing what we’ve come up with.”
After the royal council, we will surely hear more about this new album.
