Shock-rock titans GWAR have announced that they have parted ways with singer and performer Vulvatron (real name Kim Dylla) after only being in the band a short time. Vulvatron replaced the late prolific frontman Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie) along with Blothar (Michael Bishop).

The band released this statement upon her dismissal:

“Kim did a great job, but we wanted to go a different direction with the Vulvatron character. You will absolutely see more of Vulvatron in the future, just not portrayed by Kim. There is no ill will, no acrimony, and no drama. We respect Kim’s talent without question, it just isn’t what we needed in the character.”

Rumours circulated however that Dylla had problems with alcohol which caused a rift between her and the band.

We’re sure the mighty GWAR will find an appropriate replacement from somewhere in the universe!
