After the release of their debut album last week, early nineties death metal supergroup Gruesome have released a suitably horrific video for track “Savage Land”. Labelled as a band that worships Leprosy era Death the band are formed from members of Exhumed, Possessed, Malevolent Creation and Derketa, now that is a fitting death metal line up…

As you may have guessed the video for “Savage Land”, premiered on Bloody Disgusting is well, particularly horrific. Putting together a reel of classic eighties horror  , starring Cannibal Holocaust for one we see people being eaten, ripped apart and ultimately feasted upon. It doesn’t get more Gruesome than this! Not to mention the song itself is a fantastic track and perfect introduction to their new album Savage Land.

Singer/Guitarist explains of the video :

“The kind folks at Relapse put together a really cool clip video for the title track of the Gruesome album. The video perfectly captures the violence and gore of the tune and takes me back to the early days of my teens when I devoured gore flicks and the first three Death albums with equal enthusiasm. This video is definitely not safe for work and not for the squeamish. Enjoy!”
