At long last it seems that the time may finally have come for the pictures we have all been waiting for. After releasing 2012’s L’Enfant Sauvage, Gojira undertook an extensive touring schedule, creating live DVD/CD combo’s and seeing them ascend even higher in their career. Now however the touring cycle is finished for the album and we have now been shown that the band have begun the next step in their career. Behold!
Though it may only be a post on Instagram, this could be so much more. A picture of a drum kit with a mic all points to the signs that the band are recording the new album. I would imagine that we would be looking at a September release as Gojira are big players in the metal spectrum now. Either way it will be exciting to see what direction the band chooses to go in, perhaps even heavier than previous? With frontman Joe Duplantier in charge of production duties surely this will be an interesting record to say the least.
