In the midst of the ongoing Divine Heresy reformation drama, two of the former members have reunited to officially form a new band that is not a resurrected Divine Heresy.
While we were led to believe for a while that a new Queensyrche situation was taking place where two versions of a reunited Divine Heresy were coming, it was announced yesterday that this is clearly not the case as ex-vocalist Tommy Vext and ex-drummer Tim Yeung announce a new band called Westfield Massacre.
The band will include members Bill Hudson, famed in the power metal world as guitarist for Jon Oliva’s Pain, Circle II Circle, ex-Cellador and ex-Power Quest, and guitarist Rick Di Marco of Death Division. They have released a new track to demonstrate what the band will be sounding like, so far think Divine Heresy meets Killswitch Engage. It is certainly listenable music, but we foresee another spark with Divine Heresy so expect some more Dino Cazares related drama in the near future.
