After 18 years, legendary alternative rockers Faith No More have finally made the announcement of a new album official after weeks of teasing that the band were getting ‘creative’.
The record will be self-funded and has a tenative release date of 2015, anbd distrubuted via the band’s own Reclamation Records. The band had this to say about the new way of doing things during an interview with Rolling Stone:
“The name has to do with the fact that we realized we were free from our recording obligations, we weren’t touring, we have these songs that we were working on — that we think are pretty cool — and why don’t we just do our own imprint and kind of reclaim our future, in a way? We own the future more than we ever have.”
Now Faith No More is the latest band to make an epic comeback after so many years of dormacy. Their first new single, ‘Motherfucker‘ is due on November 28th and will mark their first new music since the release of ‘Album of the Year‘ in 1997. Other album details we will just have to wait for, but who’s excited?!
