Fear not friends, the drumming void left in DevilDriver by recently departed John Boecklin has been filled!

Austin D’Amond, drummer of recently disbanded titans Chimaira will be taking over the drumming duties, and one couldn’t ask for a better drummer to fill that role. He posted to the fans upon accepting his new job:

“Thanks, everyone, for all the support through my career. Without you all, I would’ve never made it this far. I promise to give you all one hell of a performance!!!”

“Keep shredding, peeps!!! Dreams do come true.”

Even though DevilDriver is currently on hiatus while frontman Dez Fafara works with Coal Chamber on their new record, the band can certainly wipe the sweat off their brows in terms that the band is set for the future and has some extra hands in preparing for a new record. New DevilDriver material will likely see the light of day in 2016 after the Coal Chamber release and tour cycle throughout 2015.
