Finnish folk metallers Ensiferum recently announced that they were heading to the studio to record their follow-up to 2012’s ‘Unsung Heroes‘. The band have taken time to update us on the recording process.
What seems like lightning fast speed, apparently the new album is already nearing completion. We expected the recordings to go into the winter, but bassist Sami Hinkka says otherwise with guitars, bass and drums already being recorded:
“Hi folks! For last few days, Mahi and Pete have sweated their asses off while recording guitars. Songs sound, like our friends in UK would say, bloody awesome! Today (Friday, September 26) we recorded kantele and some special guitar tracks. Tomorrow it’s time to set up a microphone and start to record vocals. Things are proceeding as planned.”
Still no album name or release date, but we can expect to see the album released early 2015 via Metal Blade Records. More Twilight Tavern ahead!
