It’s known throughout the Progressive Metal universe that heavy weights Dream Theater have been working on their brand new album that is set for a 2016 release, however what we didn’t know was how we will be hearing the record.

Set to embark on a massive European tour the band will once again be trend setters. With the band’s new album penned for an early 2016 release come February 18th Dream Theater will kick off the huge dates beginning at London’s Palladium hitting Amsterdam, Norway, Sweden, France and Italy afterwards. Making it a first that the band will be performing the brand new album in its entirety for a one time only performance. I would imagine that the band will aim to keep the material as wrapped up as possible perhaps debuting a new single sometime in January. It’s also worth noting that the band have changed their Facebook picture to include what looks like static with their classic logo, a hint of what’s to come perhaps?

After the phenomenal success of their self titled effort this will definitely be a hot tip for 2016 and will no doubt put the pressure on for all Progressive Metal bands.
