Power metal maestros Dragonforce have posted the song ‘Defenders‘ for streaming, from their upcoming album ‘Maximum Overload‘.

The song was originally available as a demo version from the Dragonforce website, but have stepped up and now offered the full album version in anticipation of the new record arriving August 18th 2014. The band said about the track:

“‘Defenders’ was one of the first songs we finished recording of the new album ‘Maximum Overload,’ guitarist Herman Li tells Loudwire. “The idea for this song was to create a contrast, by fusing some thrash metal style riffs with DragonForce’s big epic choruses and high speed twin guitars solos. Our friend Matt Heafy from Trivium helped us out with some aggressive backing vocals in the pre choruses. In terms of lyrics, here we went for our classic fantasy approach similar to our first album. This song sounds huge live, we can’t wait to play this on our upcoming world tour!”
