It seems to be that The Faceless are not the only band that are to paraphrase Ozzy “going through changes”. It’s no secret now that Dez Fafara is going to be devoting much of his time to the newly reformed Coal Chamber and as such it’s essentially put the band on ice! Announcing not only a hiatus but also departure of both guitarist Jeff Kendrick and drummer John Boecklin.
After having played a blistering set at last weekend’s Knotfest the band wrapped up the Winter Kills tour. Although the band has lost two of its long (enough) time members Dez ensures Devildriver will continue and return in 2016 with a brand new album.
Although a shame that the reunion of Coal Chamber sparked a line up change, it could be very beneficial with the band. Winter Kills itself was a solid album but the band have been treading the same ground for quite sometime and perhaps some new blood could do them good! Added to the fact that the hiatus isn’t indefinite is always a good sign!
