Polish death metal legends have released a brand new lyric video for the second single to be released off their forth coming album Blood Mantra. The song of the same name is fairly straightforward as far as riffs go in the Decapitated camp, with thunderous driving guitar for the most part of the verse slowly progressing throughout the song until the ultra thrashy final verse. Although I might get some flack for this, some elements of the song reminded me of Slipknot, but with diminished flavours that Vogg so consistently delivers subtly creeping in.

It’s very much a straightforward approach to song writing with a particular catchy chorus. Blood Mantra is essentially a testament to what Decapitated do best, work with a simple riff whilst slowly morphing it into something else with subtle nuances. We’re already seen evidence of this less is more approach with their first single, Their latest offering looks set to be an interesting record showcasing some of the sides of Decapitated that we may not have all seen before!
