Currently in the studio recording their follow up to their previous effort Dark Tranquility will be releasing their brand new album Atoma.

Returning after their previous release that was Construct, now three years later the band are set to release their latest work in Melodic Death Metal art. In the process of recording over at Rogue Music in Gothenburg, the home of Swedish Death Metal.

Helming production will be Dark Tranquility’s own keyboardist and the studio’s owner Martin Brandstrom with mixing duties coming from David Castillo, whilst the artwork which personally reminds me of The Ocean’s EP release from last year Transcendental was also created by the bands guitarist Niklas Sandin.

The band add :

“That’s right! We’re more than halfway done with the recording of the upcoming album, and it’s shaping up to be a diverse and challenging affair that will feature a lot of different aspects of the D.T. sound. It’s hard to be more specific while still immersed in the creative process, but we’re incredibly excited about the material and can’t wait to share the results with all of you soon.”

Dark Tranquility’s brand new album Atoma will be hitting shelves on November 4th via Century Media.
