Bring Me The Horizon Premiere New Song

Releasing the truly awful “Drown” last year we saw a side to Bring Me The Horizon that had not been seen before and now there’s more.

Premiering their brand new track “Happy Song” yesterday on Radio One we saw the band enter their transformation to fully fledged radio rock. The song itself is not actually as bad as perhaps some might have predicted. What I don’t understand though is where has this come from?

Beginning with the screamo breakdown oriented Count Your Blessings and This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For to then the groove oriented Suicide Season, adding in atmospheric pieces with This Is A (far too long album title) to Sempiternal. It just doesn’t make sense to me personally.

Once again though the song isn’t too bad but it just seems that the band have indeed morphed into something that would suggest they have ridden all previous influences , perhaps to “sell out”? It will be interesting to see what the new album will be sounding like.
