Blotted Science Will Return For Album Number Three

The scarily talented trio have announced that they will be indeed recording their follow up to 2011’s The Animation Of Entimology. Returning to the studio in December, bassist and Cannibal Corpse main man Alex Webster, guitarist Ron Jarzombek and drummer of previous Obscura fame Hannes Grossmann will be recording their new album. Though previously Jarzombek has been the main contributor to their sound, he states that this time round both Webster and Grossmann will have more of a hand in the writing process. Having close to forty minutes worth of material an idea that the album will be a concept album with something to do with Virology is a vague idea but news enough in itself that these three titans of death metal industry shall be reuniting to blow our ears away once again!

Jarzombek stated : Our last release, 2011’s The Animation Of Entomology was scored to bug movies, this time around the concept is viruses. No song titles have been locked up, but Virology likely will appear in the CD title. As of now, we have 37 minutes of completed material and bits of other tunes on which we are working at the moment. So we are well on our way to having enough music for a full-length CD. We are taking a bit of a different approach in terms of song writing, and production on this CD. The tech and brutality will still be there, but we are distributing the writing and production duties more evenly between band members. So Hannes’ and Alex’s writing input on our next release will be more present, adding a bit of a different element to our sound. We will also have some drastic changes in our production, so we’re pretty stoked about this next release.”

Sounds exciting to say the least, could we end up with a more rounded sound than previous releases with the incorporation of a more hands on approach from Webster and Grossmann? A good idea to keep the band fresh and innovating their style rather than producing the same of tech death madness every so often.
