Power metal fans rejoice! The titans Blind Guardian are returning after a couple years of silence with a new single, and finally, an new album.

The Tolkien advocates have announced a brand new single to lead the follow-up to 2010’s ‘The Edge of Time‘, and the track will be called ‘Twilight of the Gods‘. The single is set to be released on December 5th via Nuclear Blast Records, and will be taken from a new album tentatively to be released January 2015.

No info on the new album yet, but we know it is coming and surely we will get some information in the weeks to come. Frontman Hansi Kursch made a small description of what to expect from the new single:

“This song is a statement about Blind Guardian. The pure definition of all that the band stands for: it is innovative, melodic and brutal”, and that it “will captivate you with the most epic and catchy chorus we’ve ever written.” Exciting news indeed.
