Between The Buried And Me Switch On “The Coma Machine”

After premiering their first track “Memory Palace” from the band’s forthcoming album we are now delighted to be able to say that there is more Between The Buried and Me progressive goodness to be had. This time the band premiere the just shy of nine minute “The Coma Machine” with a video to accompany it that truly is fantastic.

The concept of the video is a man wakes up from his slumber in a barren room, to walk out of bed and see someone who resembles him in a coma at the end of the hallway. Aiming to try and get there it seems that he must be directed through a certain amount of rooms before being able to reach this coma patient. Directed by Wes Richardson the video is beautifully shot and crafting a fantastic narrative for the song. Lending tendencies of Inception, yet retaining its own qualities. I would even say it might pay dividends to watch the video a few times in order to fully comprehend what exactly is going on. Tastefully shot the video answers as many questions as it poses. With the addition of a noose later on in the video making for a slight twist its a brilliant video that you can even watch with the sound off! Plus I loved that purple smoke!

An excellent snap shot of the overall concept of the new album and a fantastic initiation for both BTBAM fans old and new. I would peg this as being one of the most anticipated records of the year.

Between The Buried And Me’s brand new album Coma Ecliptic is set for a July 7th release date via Metal Blade.
