On top of Capitol Records’ roof!

What has been no doubt one of the best hoodwinks of the year, Avenged Sevenfold announced that their brand new album The Stage would be released today (October 28th) yesterday. Performing on the roof of the Capitol Records building in LA the band live streamed the entire performance via Facebook which you can see below.

Personally I think this is a genius marketing strategy for the new record, particularly with the new age of technology and as far as I know, bar U2 and the likes of Bowie, the band are the only ones to have done this.
