After returning from a few festival shows with a full orchestra, cello metallers Apocalyptica have announced that they are wrapping up recordings for their next album.
Their 8th album, yet to be titled, will be released in early 2015 followed by an extensive tour of Europe including one show at the famed 70’000 Tons of Metal Cruise in the USA. The band tapped Franky Perez to do some vocal tracks on the new album, known for his work with Slash and Scars on Broadway. We can expect some metal cello madness as per usual, but it will be interesting to hear a vocalist take the reigns on what is a predominately instrumental band. The band have had gets singers before, but none that offered their vocal efforts consistently across an album.
