Anthrax Play “Among The Living” In Its Entirety At Sonisphere 2014

Anthrax, not only playing the day afterwards on Saturday’s mainstage, were also playing in a much more intimate setting in one of the tents at Sonisphere. But not only it being a treat to see Anthrax in such a small place, they played their eponymous “Among The Living” in its entirety. Being released in 1987 this record helped write the ways of thrash and propelled Anthrax to the status of thrash legends, although always seemingly overshadowed by their peers, which unfortunately are the might Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth they always seem to come bottom of the pile. That said, “Among The Living” is essential listening, having the band play it in its entirety surely is something to note.

We’ve the entire set, filmed in the classic bootleg style by DT Masters, although the sound quality isn’t the best it is undeniable that Anthrax were on fantastic form. Its just a shame that tent wasn’t a bit bigger!
